Target has announced they are putting an end to gender stereotypes. Gender signs are being removed from almost all departments and aisles. They will only be staying in the apparel section as they say that makes sense due to fitting and sizing differences. So this has me wondering…will more stores follow Target’s example and start going gender neutral? I think you may get some nicer stores doing this..perhaps Kohls? But I do not expect to ever see this happening in Kmart or Walmart? Maybe they will surprise us though.
Our kids used to love to play with some toys that are marketed for girls. Such as a dollhouse and kitchen set.
As a society if we want to truly have gender equality this is just one small step that needs to happen.
